The iPhone is an internet-connected multimedia smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. Since its minimal hardware interface lacks a physical keyboard, the multi-touch screen renders a virtual keyboard when necessary. The iPhone functions as a camera phone (also including text messaging and visual voicemail), a portable media player (equivalent to an iPod), and an Internet client (with email, web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity). The first-generation phone hardware was quad-band GSM with EDGE; the second generation added UMTS with HSDPA.
Apple announced the iPhone on January 9, 2007, after months of rumors and speculation. The iPhone was introduced in the United States on June 29, 2007 before being marketed worldwide. Time magazine named it the Invention of the Year in 2007. Released July 11, 2008, the iPhone 3G supports faster 3G data speeds and assisted GPS. On March 17, 2009, Apple announced the iPhone firmware version 3.0, due to be released in mid 2009.

i have an ipod touch that's the first generation, and at that time i was so happy to have it, and i still am. i just don't like how there are more generations coming out, cuz it makes me want the newer one so badly. plus, if the 3rd generation now has a camera, no one would want to buy the iphone. iphones already have enough cons about how uncomfortable they are. i don't have an iphone, but i heard lots of complaints about them.

It wouldn't be called a 4g. 3g is a type of network and doesn't stand for "3rd generation" So yeah... Other than that, Pretty cool concept

that was a cool phone wasn't it? Did you know that the battery can now be taken out cuz they made a battery pack? Well, the battery pact kinda looked weird with the fancy design cuz it was just there, like the ones in a battery opperated clock. but the rest of the features are cool, though still 3.2 mega pixel XD who knows they'll come up with better ones
